Los Angeles Needs... A Friday Update

Los Angeles Needs... A Friday Update
That picture above is the obligatory setlist tiltshift-ish shot we took of HT Heartache's setlist on Wednesday. Coincidentally, she's playing tonight at pehrspace. And it's all ages so if you didn't get into that show (which incidentally was one of the best shows we saw all of April) because you're turning 21 next decade then you're in luck. And, look, we put a cute little heart on "Turn Black" as a little hint that we will be crying when it is played tonight. Also, Sara Melson was just added to the lineup!

Also, tonight listen up for Luna Is Honey on Demolisten. Shane Alexander celebrates a new record at the Hotel Cafe. Everybody Was In The French Resistance...Now at The Echo. +DOG+, Actuary, Bavab Bavab, Drum Jester Devotional, and others at Sync. Jon Brion at g'net. Glasser at the Bootleg. The Growlers and Dirt Dress at Madame Wong's. The Killingtons, The Valley Arena, and others at Alex's. Aloe Blacc at The Airliner. Hole has a couple of nights at the Music. And Killola at the Roxy.

Saturday, too many things to do. Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (Shadow Shadow Shade are among those performing), Unique LA, "Los Angeles, I'm Yours, Greening the Earth Day & Armory Family Arts Festival, and EX GEN are just a few of the big events. Elsewhere, The Spires, The French Semester, Divisadero, and The Lunch Club at pehrspace. Ninja Academy and The Health Club at HM157. The Living Sisters and Paige, Dora, Liv and Lindsay open for Black Prairie at the Bootleg. Carolyn Edwards and Patria Jacobs at Taix. And The Year Zero, Familiar Trees, and others at OCCCA.

Sunday, spend the whole day at The Echo with Warpaint and His Orchestra doing a kid's-only show, then Grand Ole Echo with Wirepony and 1921a, then much later PTP with Blank Dogs and Cosmetics. Elsewhere, Rainbow Arabia, Sister Crayon, and TEARIST
at Space 15 Twenty. The Monolators, Allah Las, Ancient Crux, and Sean Bones
at Spaceland. And 60-Watt Kid opens for Javelin and Maus Haus at the Bootleg.

Have fun. See you tonight maybe.
