![Los Angeles Needs... A Tuesday Update](http://www.la-underground.net/uploaded_images/march_featurej-773136.jpg)
We've been away for the last week (and won't be coming back until later this week) so we haven't done any updating lately but, according to various news reports, it seems all is well in the city of Los Angeles. We have a little time before our next destination so why not wi-fi it up and look like we're busy and important to the very attractive Swedish girl sitting next to us -- forget it, she just left. Just another Alex Goran to our Ryan Bingham, I tell you.
Anyway, despite our disinterest in the event, we were actually supposed to do South By South South this year only to cancel in favor of a little trip overseas. Brief details of this trip have been posted to our Facebook since for some reason that seems to be the only site we can always access country to country. We've been lucky to see quite a few good bands from London to Sweden during our time here but the main reason for our visit was that one of us got hitched and that we our now close to owning a 4-bedroom house on the shores of the Mediterranean, something we've been working on for over two years. So now we'll have a place to call our own on the other side of the Atlantic. Pretty cool, yeah?
In more related news, we are presenting our next shows on 4/4 at Dakota and on 4/23 at pehrspace. Mark your calendars, por favor.
Ok, so the Swedish girl is back but instead of sitting next to us she's now sitting directly across from us. This is both good and bad. Good because it still looks like we're working on some financial report that's due by morning even though we'll be switching to Call of Duty as soon we're done writing this stupid post. Bad because every time we look up at her bewitching beauty it means another respawn at the last checkpoint. That is the crisis in which we now face. Wish us luck.
Miss you much, Anheles.
Pictured above is Australia's very own Washington who stopped in L.A. on her way to Austin last week and very much lived up to the growing hype she's been receiving. We had to drop by her showcase slot at the Silverlake Lounge even though our flight out of town was a few hours later (and we barely made it). She's got the Aussie pop feel of her fellow compatriots Butterfly Boucher and Sarah Blasko with a little more Regina Spektor baroquirkiness than we expected. Think we prefer her playing solo but see what you think by checking her out on this new site called MySpace. If she wasn't already signed, she probably will be soon.
