Tonight's lineup at the Bootleg brings a tear to our eye. It's a lineup that takes us back some ten years ago when Ms. Inara George was playing indie rock shows with the much-beloved Lode and later Merrick; Ms. Eleni Mandell was garnering "next big thing" buzz every time she'd open those Fridays at Largo for Jon Brion; and Mr. Ferraby Lionheart was frontman to one of the most under-appreciated power pop bands of our scene in Telecast. Of course, all three have gone on to become three of L.A.'s most cherished solo artists so having them together for one night in the very intimate setting of the Bootleg Theater makes this a must-go-to event (as emphasized by the bold lettering, something we rarely do). All will surely be performing new songs off recent and upcoming records. And, as a bonus, Daniel Martin Moore is coming all the way out from the blue hills of Kentucky to open up the evening.
If would be a tragedy to miss this show.
