You Were Born on Time For the Biggest Lie

You Were Born on Time For the Biggest Lie
Congrats to Heart on their big show last night at The Echo. We're excited to see another local label do some good things for the scene and things got off to a great start with last night's showcase. We hadn't seen The Happy Hollows in a few months so we almost forgot how good "Shark..." and "Megaman" were. And The Movies, Crooked Cowboy, Anni Rossi, Avi Buffalo, and the rest of the lineup were also in fine form. Look out for all these bands to make a dent in 2009.

Tonight, we're hanging out at the Vermont and maybe we'll see you there. Otherwise, you might want to be seen at The Echo with The Soft Pack and Tijuana Panthers playing. Don Caballero, sBach, and others at Spaceland. Aceyalone at Dakota. The Spires, Franklin For Short, The Voyeurs, and Jack Wilson, Jr. at pehrspace. Jon Brion/The Coles at g'net. La Santa Cecilia at Juanita's. Drag the River at The Scene. And Prince Paul and Peanut Butter Wolf do a pre-Valentine's Day git at Echoplex. Also, listen up for Cinderella Motel tonight on "Demolisten."

For Valentine's Day there's plenty of places to make out at including Sparks at Royce Hall. Anavan, I.E., Extreme Animals, and others at The Smell. Rickie Lee Jones at g'net. Halloween Swim Team, Bloody Robots, and others at MotionLA. Realicide, Moment Trigger, Birth!, Kawaiietly Please, and others at Women. The Hectors and others at The Scene. Thee Makeout Party, Peachfuzz, and others at Redwood. Blue Jungle, Bastidas, and others L'KEG. And don't forget Love Groove, Lovers & Strangers, Lucent L'amour, and the return of Nightlife.
