Los Angeles Needs... A Monday Update

Los Angeles Needs... A Monday Update
Can't tell you how much fun we had at the Vermont House on Friday. The photo above doesn't even begin to depict the sheer chaos of the night. All the bands honestly sounded great even with technical issues galore. Thanks to How To Be A Microwave for letting us tag along and to all the beautiful faces we saw. Say Cheese and Die! posted great photos of the show.

More Monday residency madness tonight. Jane's Addiction has a show at Echoplex (if you followed them on Twitter you could have gotten tickets.) Foot Village, E&E, Puppy Dog and others for Carnage Mondays at pehrspace. And Chris Seefried joins Jay Nash at Room 5... Listen up for Juana Molina tomorrow on "Morning Becomes Eclectic." The Soul of John Black celebrates the release of his new superb self-titled album at The Mint. We totally love this record. Ben Lee celebrates the release of his new record The Rebirth of Venus at g'net. Murder City Devils begin two nights at the Music Box with Silverghost (totally impressed on Friday) and friends. The Monolators, The Karabal Nightlife, and The Shivers at Echo Curio. And Miranda Lee Richards and boxViolet continue their Tuesday residencies at Spaceland and Mr. T's Bowl, respectively... Wednesday, we're presenting our first show of the year at Mr. T's Bowl with Halloween Swim Team, Monstro, Cobra Lilies, Featherbeard, and Trick Tracy. Elsewhere, Jessica Fichot, The Meemies, and others at The Bordello. Mere Mortals, Nick Jago, and The Binges at Three Clubs. Manhattan Murdery Mystery, Go West Young Man, Manhattan Murder Mystery, The Health Club, Secret Alphabet and many others pay tribute to Jon Hershfield at The Scene. And Aushua continues their Wednesday residency at the Knitting Factory... Thursday, Eleni Mandell and Useless Keys at The Echo. Evidence does an in-store at Amoeba. BlackBlack, Alexandra hope, Corridor, and VOICEsVOICEs at Spaceland. Eugene, Guppies, and One Trick Pony at The Que Sera. And The Watkins Family Hour at g'net.
