In other news: We are totally going to be eating some sea cockroaches on 9/19-21 now that Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival has announced their 2008 lineup featuring performances by Los Straitjackets, The Henry Clay People, Robert Francis, Oliver Future, The Monolators, Rocket, C.R.A.F.T. Club, The Weather Underground, The Binges, and others over the course of the three-day event... Nice write-up on L.A. Record's Sean Carlson in the NY fucking Times... Manimal Vinyl posted some teaser tracks from the forthcoming Cure tribute album Perfect As Cats which features local greatness Indian Jewelry, Xu Xu Fang, Sarabeth Tucek, Army Navy, BlackBlack, We Are the World, Rainbow Arabia, Gangi, Lemon Sun, Buddy, and many others... Jon Brion reportedly worked on the new Keane record due 10/13. By the way, in case you didn't already know Brion has been all up in Of Montreal's junk lately...
