Redcar, The Ivy Walls, and others at Tangier. "88BoaDrum" at La Brea Tar Pits. Paris Loves L.A. and Joel Virgil at Tangier. Abe Vigoda opens up for The Faint at the Music Box. Pop Levi at The Echo. Dave Palmer/Jon Brion at g'Net. And Stella Im Hultberg's "Raveled" opening at thinkspace. Also be sure to listen to "Demolisten" for SF's Pinched Nerve and NY's Paleface... Saturday is probably the busiest day of the month. First, the "Highland Park Summer Festival" features Le Switch, Seasons, Ninja Academy, The Health Club, Odd Modern, The Hectors, and many others. Castledoor heads down to Long Beach to celebrate their EP release show at {open} with Agent Ribbons. Earlimart, The Parson Red Heads, and The Henry Clay People down at Detroit Bar. B-Side Players and Ceci Bastida at the Roxy. Gliss at Boardner's. Jill Sobule at g'net. Solare at La Cave. The Meeting Places, Magic Lantern, and Hypatia Lake at The Prospector. Amateurs at The Cocaine. And of course "Rock the Bells" and "The Love Festival"... And Sunday, A Fine Frenzy, Mozella, and many others at the Ford.
