Los Angeles Loves... Pray For Me By Name

Los Angeles Loves... Pray For Me By Name
Our first recollection of hearing Daniel Ahearn was one sunny afternoon several years ago driving around Los Angeles listening to KXLU and hearing a live electro-folk band playing. They were good and so we drove a bit more slowly methodically so that we could hear over our old Volvo engine's roar. To make things worse, the station's weak transmitter prevented us from understanding much of what the band was saying during the interview and the only thing we could make out was the phrase "wack music," which was repeated a few times. Doing a web search for "wack music" back then turned up nothing but aggro-rock fan sites and references to some band called Creed. So it wasn't until we obtained a copy of Ill Lit's great album WACmusic that we put two and two twogether. After putting out two more fantastic records under the name Ill Lit, Ahearn recently decided to go by his name and put out a new EP Pray For Me By Name earlier this year. This EP finally gets a proper release show tonight at The Echo, which we are very happy to be apart of. Joining him will be friends Spain, Correatown, and CMG & We Are the Night. We hope you can join us for a slow dance.

Be advised: Daniel Ahearn has the opening slot at 9pm. Message any of the bands to get on a $5 discount list.
